Best WP Rocket settings for Wistia video embeds

WP Rocket is a popular speed optimizer plugin for Wordpress. Unfortunately the JavaScript optimizations of WP Rocket will cause problems with Wistia embeds because of the way it re-hosts and modifies inline JavaScript. With this simple process you can exclude Wistia scripts from any WP Rocket modifications in about 30 seconds, so both services can be used in sweet, speedy harmony.

1. From your WP Admin page, go to "Plugins"

3. Go to File Optimization

4. Add the URLs for E-v1.js and Channel.js to all exclusion lists

For every JS optimization enabled, exclude the following URLs:

https://fast.wistia.com/assets/external/E-v1.js

https://fast.wistia.com/assets/external/channel.js

5. Click on Save Changes and you're golden!

The changes may not show up instantly on the live site due to browser caching - you can get around this by visiting your page in a new incognito/privacy window, to confirm that the videos are now working as expected.
